For Israeli singer Eden Golan, the Eurovision Song Contest final was an evening filled with mixed emotions.
Despite her powerful rendition of the song “Hurricane,” she faced a negative reaction from the press center on Saturday evening, where whistling and loud booing could be heard.
Although these reactions were less noticeable in the live broadcast due to “canned applause in the background,” it was clear that the atmosphere in the venue was tense.
Especially at the start of her performance and during the Hebrew part at the end of the song, the audience seemed to react strongly.
This wasn’t the first time Golan experienced turmoil during this contest; there had already been unrest during the second semi-final and various rehearsals.
